Surf Rescue Ceertificate (SRC & ASRC)
are you ready…
… to save lives?
… to develop invaluable surf skills?
… to give back to the local community?
Course Description
The Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) teaches basic first aid, resuscitation and surf rescue skills enabling candidates to become training cadet lifesavers who can take part in beach patrols and Water Safety.
The SRC is a 20 hour course with the initial course being held over four days over two weekends in December and will include optional training and development days in the two months after.
Our aim is to engage with this cohort over the two-year period they hold their SRC and create a life-long culture where members look to the club as a space for development, opportunity and to foster positive relationships - which is something we don’t believe can be achieved simply over a four-day course.
Point Lonsdale SLSC is proud to offer training of the highest quality in the form of an intensive week-long training course. The annual courses are intended to be an intensive and high pressure program to push you to your limits and train you to become a surf life saver.
We also offer an Adult SRC. See below for additional course information.
