Stingers 2023 - 2024

What is Stingers?

The stingers program builds on the skills developed at Nippers but focuses on the competition aspect - swimming, board skills, wade and beach running both individual and team events. There is also beach flags.

We would love all nippers to be involved with the Stingers Program.  

For those that are keen, you must complete the S-Badge (or Surf Badge) swim test. This is a requirement for Nippers to compete at a Life Saving Victoria (LSV) surf carnival. The S-Badge requires a continuous effort of swimming (freestyle) that is head in water and not changing stoke over a distance determined by the Nipper's age. 

We will be running and S badge test on Sunday 7th January, 2024 at 10 am at Santa Casa. Please let us know if you intend to attend.

There are a few exciting opportunities to be involved in Stingers this year with a plan to keep on expanding the opportunities in future years!

Bancoora Friendly Carnival - 21st January 2024

All Point Lonsdale Nippers are all invited to a friendly carnival with Bancoora at Breamlea on Sunday 21st January 2024. This will involve relay based events (Pt Lonsdale versus Bancoora) and will be run in the morning.

Note: No S badge will be required for this carnival.

If your Nipper/s would like to attend this carnival, please remain behind after Nippers on Friday 5th January to express interest.
