JOB VACANT: Venue Manager

PLSLSC is looking for a capable, practical, mature and diplomatic individual required for full time position. The role will involve:

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the clubhouse, from facility management, to co-ordination of SLS activities, food and beverage operations and managing of hired events.

  • Overseeing and running of the bar in conjunction with Bar Coordinator, throughout the year.

  • Ensuring all activities fall within the requirements of the liquor licence and other council rules.

  • Working with and controlling the Catering Partner(s) for kitchen and kiosk.

  • Taking a proactive approach to marketing the club for hire to corporate and community groups of the meeting room. Secondly, in relation to promoting the multi-purpose / function room for larger, more profitable and thus more involved, and comprehensive functions.

  • This person will understand the ethos of club, being a Surf Life Saving organisation, that has the sole purpose of serving the community and keeping the community safe on our beaches. Thus, discretion and integrity will be key attributes of the role.

Remuneration

$70k p.a plus super ($7K). Standard annual leave of 4 weeks, not to be taken during peak and limited during SLS season. Personal leave of 2 weeks per annum, sick certificate required for days off. LSL per Victorian legislation.
